Hi, Miss country-music-girl back on the music board. I am soooooooooooooo surprised that Carrie Underwood does not have a thread to herself on here! Yes, she was the 4th American Idol...no, I don't watch AI. Yes, I have all her CDs...no, I haven't been to her concert (but I shall soon! One of these days, I suppose)

So, who likes her songs? :D

Oh, oh, oh! I do. I really like "Some Hearts" and several others. I have all her CDs too. :)
I'm so glad there's another country fan here. :D

YAY! Another country fanatic! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can sing [not necessarily well] all her songs! I was going to go to her concert next month, but it turned out to be on a school day, darn it! But I am praying that I will one day! [-o<

I probably said this on another post, but I don't listen to anything but country music. I have a few exceptions, like KT Tunstall and Anna Nalick. But everything else on my iPod is country. I even write country songs, too and learned guitar so I could play my favorite songs!

Ani Isilee, which Carrie song is your fave? Right now, I like Some Hearts and Flat on the Floor (this is the only one I can play). Some Hearts (the song) is the first one of hers I heard.

I like Carrie Underwood. My dad likes Before HE Cheats and I guess it's good, but I really like So Small. Jesus take the wheel is good too, though Tim Hawkins improves on it. ;)

Some Hearts is my favorite. So Small is really good too. I love singing the chorus of Before He Cheats very loudly. :D

So glad you guys like Before He Cheats! B/c in geography, we had to take a tune of a song and change the lyrics to talk about a European country. The song we wrote was to Before He Cheats and the country was England. Here it is!

Verse 1
Right now, I’m sitting down with biscuits and cookies at the cafe ‘cause it’s teatime
Right now, I’m listening to Big Ben chiming loudly the time of 3 o’clock
Right now, I’m riding ‘round London Eye trying to take a good look at the city below
And you should know…

Chorus
That I tried to see the Queen of England, but the red-suited guards won’t let me
So I teased their big, huge bearskin hats
I took a double-decker to downtown London
Shopped til’ I dropped at Harrods store
I’ll do it over again here in England

Verse 2
Right now, I’m sitting in the Old Globe Theatre while drinking my favorite liter
Right now, I’m watching the telly with a spot of tea and hoping that you will join me
Right now, I almost crashed the car driving on the wrong side of the lane
And you should know…

Chorus

Bridge
I am out to do a little bit more touring
But while I am here
Oh, I hope you will come here, too
Oh, that you’ll come here, too

Chorus

Oh, I’ll do it over again here in England
Oh, here in England

Sorry for the double post, but here is a funny game I did inspired by an old Squeetus blog where Shannon Hale was talking about how she translated one of her author biographies (I think it was in German) using an online translator and she translated it back and it said something about that she was "living with its man". (If anyone knows the link to this one, please post it! That was one of my favorite Squeetus blogs!)

So here is Before He Cheats, the chorus in English:
I dug my key into the side of his pretty little souped-up four-wheel drive
Carved my name into his leather seat
I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights
Slashed a hole in all four tires
And maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.

Using Dictionary.com, the Spanish came out to this: (Spanish is the foreign language I'm taking now, that's why I did it)

When I translated the Spanish back to English, it came out to this:
I dug my key in the side of its enough little supercharged impulsion of four wheels
I carved my name in its leather seat
I took to batter of Louisville to both lanterns
It radically reduced a hole in the four tires
Perhaps and the time next he will think before he deceives.

Very interesting...

That is HILARIOUS.
"supercharged impulsion of four wheels..."
"It radically reduced a hole in the four tires..."
Oh my goodness that is too funny!

^Yeah, I did this a few weeks ago and thought it'd be funny to post on here. It's random. This thread's about Carrie Underwood. It fits.

I remember reading yours. It was funny about the pubs.

Now that everyone's talking about Before He Cheats, I'm getting that stuck in my head. Maybe I should try to sing it to the translated one here:

Tee hee.

Who here would do really do that to their man's car if you found out that he cheated on you?
